Seeds of Fire Family Program

Join us for a family-friendly, spectacular program that celebrates the seeds of fire – the passion within every person – to transform the world into a space of joy and love through creativity, laughter, and their own individual flame. Watch fire-dancing by ROGUE fire dancers; make “fire” torches; bake bread in a fire oven; plant seeds; create pinwheels, and make them move using nothing but wind, generated by you pedaling a stationary bike; share food and refreshments and Uptown friendship. 
 
And, where better to grow love and deepen bonds than the Winthrop Family Historical Garden. Founded on the experiences of Black families who used their passion to transform a painful past into this space of joy and love. Red Line Service is a community of houseless or housing insecure artists working together with art professionals to reduce barriers to participation in the arts. The impacts of our work are decreasing social isolation; increasing sense of belonging; destigmatizing houselessness; providing channels for talent to be recognized, appreciated, and enjoyed; and, shifting the narrative on houselessness away from individual blame and moral failure toward the systems that cause it. Cabinet of Curiosity is composed of diverse project-by-project collectives who authentically collaborate on original celebrations and productions. Cabinet uses sophisticated puppetry and handmade devices to develop unique interactive experiences, productions and events. We focus on creating new types of gatherings, ceremonies, and rituals which promote community and interactivity amongst people who may not normally mix.
